To bolster Pakistan's national T20 squad, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi has initiated the formation of a "Strike Force," sources said, aiming to enhance the team's performance, 24NewsHD TV Channel reported on Sunday.
According to PCB sources, the Strike Force will consist of 50 young power-hitting batters selected on merit from across the country. The selection process will be led by former all-rounder Abdul Razzaq, with a focus on identifying raw talent and transforming them into skilled power-hitters.
PCB officials stated that the program aims to inject fresh talent into the T20 squad. The initiative plans to prepare these players within six months, equipping them with advanced power-hitting techniques, and integrating them into the national team.
This strategic step underlines the PCB's commitment to reinvigorate the squad and enhance Pakistan's performance in the shortest format of the game.
