The management of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) sought permission from Britain’s department of civil aviation and transportation for resumption of flight operations, 24NewsHD TV Channel reported on Sunday.
In a letter, PIA management asked their UK’s counterparts to allow them to finalise the flight operations schedule.
PIA will start operating flights for London, Birmingham, and Manchester.
Revenue for PIA will be enhanced after resumptions of flights to the United Kingdom.
PIA also sought permission letter for third country authorisation from the United Kingdom.
The first international flight of PIA will depart for Paris on January 10, 2025.
Number of PIA fleet operations enhanced
An eleventh Airbus-320 AP-BOM was inducted into the operational fleet of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) with new engines and decoration.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Khurram Mushtaq said that some grounded Boeing 777 and ATR aircraft will also be included in the operational fleet.
After the inclusion of new aircraft, the PIA network will gain strength and expansion.
During the current week, a new entertainment system was introduced for in-flight passengers, which is getting a positive response.
PIA strictly follows the flight schedule, providing security to passengers and providing the best services.
He said that 90 percent regularity and the best quality product are part of our commitment to provide maximum facilities to passengers.
