Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif said on Sunday that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is desperate for talks with the government.
Speaking to the media, Asif said punishment to those responsible for the May 9 violence was delayed due to the judiciary. He said the jailed former prime minister said “absolutely not” to the United States, but now he wanted to come into power again with the American help. He said that one who takes U-turns cannot be a national leader. He said the Panama case verdict is a matter of shame for the judiciary. He said that former army chief Qamar Javed Bajwa was working on the “minus Nawaz Sharif” formula. He said that a record-breaking corruption took place during PTI’s tenure.
