Federal Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed said on Tuesday that Prime Minister Imran Khan and Jehangir Khan Tareen were old friends, adding that a difference of opinion occurred between two friends but relations remained intact.
According to the report aired by 24NewsHD TV channel, the federal interior minister said that Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) and Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) were allied parties of the government.
“A politician never shuts his doors. If someone asks from me, I would say Jehangir Khan Tareen should be met,” he said and added that the opposition’s no-confidence motion in the Parliament was destined to fail.
Sh Rasheed said that Prime Minister Imran Khan would inaugurate e-passport following his return from Russia, adding that the Australian cricket team would arrive in Pakistan on February 27 under foolproof security measures.
He also affirmed his confidence that Prime Minister Imran Khan would succeed in its political struggle against the opposition, adding that the federal government was ready to increase Rangers deployment in Sindh. “If Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah wants Rangers deployment at police stations, we are ready for that too,” he said sarcastically.
