Nisar Panhwar and his son Mohsin Panhwar, independent candidates from NA-242 and PS 85 respectively, returned home after a 42-day disappearance, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Wednesday.
Former parliamentarian, Nisar Panhwar, and his son Mohsin Panwar, were taken into custody allegedly by law enforcement agencies in plainclothes in the wee hours of January 9, 2024.
The whereabouts of the father-son duo were remained unknown since then.
However, the Panhwar family confirmed that both father and son safely arrived home late last night, marking an end to their ordeal. Astonishingly, the Karachi police remained oblivious to their return, raising questions about the efficacy of law enforcement agency.
In a related development, the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) West appeared before the Sindh High Court Wednesday to address the matter.
The SSP had previously assured the court of swift action to recover Nisar and Mohsin, pledging to prioritize their safe return.
However, the SSP's appearance raised further questions as he professed ignorance regarding the whereabouts and circumstances surrounding the abduction.
