Five people accused of killing three rare leopards have been arrested by Wildlife Department in Abbottabad, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.
According to officials, three leopards were found dead in Changla Gally and Patan Kalan areas of Abbottabad, the wildlife team traced the accused after conducting post-mortem of the dead leopards.
A few days ago, two leopards were found dead in Changla Gally while another was found dead in Patan Kalan area, and all the three leopards were killed separately.
Wildlife teams arrested three persons for shooting one leopard in Patan Kalan while arrested two persons for killing two leopards in Changla Gally and registered cases against all the five accused.
The arrested accused said that the leopards had entered the settlements due to which they killed them.
