The newly elected Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) members of the Punjab Assembly (MPAs) from south Punjab have expressed their reservations over the deal struck between their party and the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) under which the PPP has agreed that it will not get ministries in the provincial cabinet and will only have its governor, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.

According to sources, these MPAs have said that they have been elected by the people of their constituencies to resolve their issues, but that will be an uphill task without anybody from the party in the cabinet.

The PPP MPAs, sources have disclosed, have demanded their leadership to ask the PML-N to give ministries to the party in Punjab.

If not at Center, they have said, the party can demand ministries from the PML-N at least in Punjab.

Quoting these MPAs, sources have said that they are of the view that it is necessary to get ministries in Punjab if the party has to consolidate itself in the province.

On the other hand, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has decided to select strong party members to lead the party in the province, sources have informed.

Sources have said that Bilawal also plans to restructure the party in Punjab.
