Differences simmer among the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf leadership in Jhelum following Fawad Chaudhry’s decision to contest for the provincial assembly seat from another constituency instead of the constituency in his own electric fiefdom, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
Reportedly, Fawad Chaudhry wants to contest the Punjab Assembly election not from his own constituency but from another constituency. The decision of the former information minister was met with opposition by party’s own leader, former MPA Raja Yawar Kamal.
The ex-MPA objected to the idea saying why Fawad wanted to contest from PP 25 and why he was shunning his own constituency PP 27?
Mr Kamal also accused his party of showing favourtism during the appointments of deputy commissioners. He also alleged that recruitments were made in the education department and municipal committee in violation of merit.
The former MPA lashed out at the city deputy commissioner alleging that he was working on some ‘unknown mission’ and he was harming the PTI’s repute.
