Pakistan Peoples Party Information Secretary Faisal Karim Kundi has said that the anger of former federal minister Ahsan Iqbal shows that PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif does not stand a chance against PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari if a public debate is held, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

In a statement issued on Sunday, the PPP information secretary proposed to Nawaz Sharif to hold a public debate with Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on national TV. He was of the view that the former three-time prime minister does not stand a chance to win the debate with Bilawal.

Kundi said that Ahsan Iqbal’s anger and frustration show that his leader is afraid of facing Bilawal Bhutto in a fair and open discussion. He also accused Nawaz Sharif of canceling his public meetings ‘voluntarily’ as he ended his exile.

Kundi further said that Bilawal Bhutto was ready to confront his opponents and present his vision for the country in the people's court.

He claimed that the PPP has a public welfare manifesto that has upset his opponents. He said that the PPP has increased the salaries of government employees by 200 percent, while alleging that Nawaz Sharif had dismissed thousands of workers whenever he came to power.

Another PPP leader Saeed Ghani has declared the MQM and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s alliance as defeated.

He said that the PML-N wants to delay the elections. He was of the view that PML-N supreme leader Nawaz Sharif is now regretting his decision to come back.

Ghani held that the PML-N's position is not strong, MQM people are joining the PPP.

He said alliances were always formed against the Pakistan Peoples Party.
