As many as four premier universities and several private schools have been shut in Islamabad for an indefinite time period while security has been put on a high alert in view of a possible terror attack on the federal capital’s educational institutions, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.
Sources told 24News that the universities, which had been closed were the Air University, National Defence University, Bahria University and Quaid-e-Azam University.
They added that as per the alert issued by the law-enforcement agencies (LEAs), a banned outfit might target capital city’s premier educational institutions.
Sources further disclosed that the outfit might use a female suicide bomber for the purpose.
Last night, the security forces combed the suburban areas of the federal capital.
