Pakistani actress Sabeena Farooq has expressed her anger and frustration over the rape and murder case of seven-year-old Sarim.
Taking to her Instagram handle, she shared a post and urged the Sindh government to take immediate action against the culprit.
Sabeena demanded justice saying, “Can we all please share this as much as we can so the authorities take action? I request the Sindh government to investigate and punish the culprits behind this because enough of this already.”
“The kid was only 7,” she added, emphasizing the brutality of the crime. She also encouraged her followers to spread awareness and put pressure on authorities to take action.
Sarim was kidnapped on January 7 and found dead eleven days later in a water tank near his home. Reports confirm that he was sexually assaulted before being killed, sparking widespread public outrage.
Karachi has witnessed a surge in child abductions, with at least five reported cases in January. Among them, 15-year-old Zahra Batool went missing from Gulshan-e-Iqbal, while 10-year-old Ayan disappeared from Orangi Town. Additionally, 5-year-old Aliyan and 6-year-old Ali Raza remain missing after vanishing from Garden West.
