Punjab has successfully conducted its first patient shifting using a rescue air ambulance, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Sunday.

The operation was overseen by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, fulfilling yet another of her promises to the people of Punjab.

Halima Bibi, a 40-year-old resident of Mianwali, found herself in dire straits after falling from her roof two days ago, which left her paralyzed.

Recognizing the urgency of her condition, medical professionals deemed it essential to transfer her to a tertiary care hospital for advanced treatment.

The Mianwali DHQ hospital's surgeon referred Halima Bibi for specialized care, stressing the critical need for her transfer to a major facility.

Under the directives of CM Maryam, Halima Bibi was successfully transported from Mianwali to Rawalpindi within the crucial "Golden Hour" – the first hour after a traumatic injury.

The rescue air ambulance service, still in its trial phase, proved its efficacy and reliability in this urgent situation.

Halima Bibi was swiftly transferred to Rawalpindi where she was immediately treated.

Expressing their profound gratitude, Halima Bibi's family hailed CM Maryam as an angel of mercy.

"She has been a blessing for us," they stated, deeply moved by the swift and lifesaving intervention.

Maryam Nawaz reiterated her commitment to ensuring that every citizen of Punjab has access to the best possible medical care. "Every citizen of Punjab deserves excellent and timely treatment, and we will ensure it is provided," she affirmed.
