Heavy rains and windstorms killed four people including three children in Karachi on Wednesday night, 24News HD TV channel reported.
According to details, due to heavy rains and windstorms walls of different houses collapsed in different areas of Karachi city.
The rescue sources said that two children including five years old boy and four years old girl were killed when the wall of a house in Malir Millat Town collapsed.
In another incident, a 45-year-old man was killed when a wall collapsed in the Gulshan-e-Arisha area of Karachi city.
While an eight-year-old child was killed when a wall collapsed in Mahmudabad’s Chanesar Goth Karachi.
The Meteorological Department has released a record of rainfall in different parts of Karachi. The Met Office said the highest rainfall in Karachi was recorded at Nazimabad at 38 mm.
The Meteorology Department said 22 mm of rain was recorded at Jinnah Terminal, 15 mm at Old Airport, 8 mm at PAF Faisal Base, 6 mm of rain in Quaidabad, 5.8 mm on University Road, 4.4 mm in Gulshan-e-Maymar, 2.7 mm in Saadi Town, 2 mm in Orangi Town and 1.7 mm in Surjani Town.
