Punjab Revenue Deptt starts collecting details of public lands allotted to Sharifs

The Punjab Revenue Department Monday started the collection of details of the public lands that were allotted to the Sharif family on the directive of the Board of Revenue.

According to the 24News HD TV channel, the Board has sought records of the lands of the Sharif family from all the deputy commissioners across the province till November 26.

The board issued a directive to the deputy commissioners in Punjab that they should provide a complete record of the allotted public lands to former premier Nawaz Sharif, and his brother former Punjab chief minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif.

The board also advised providing the record of both Sharif brothers’ allotted public lands from 1985 to 2002 under the Colony Scheme.

The directive of the board also said that it should also be provided with the details of laws under which the public lands were allotted to the Sharif family.

The board also urged to provide a copy of the Register of Land and Mutation Records in the matter of the public lands allotment as well as the current status of land allotted to the Sharif family was also sought.

The sources in the revenue department said that after collecting the detailed record of the allotted public lands to Sharif, the case would be referred to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
