Utility Stores of Karachi have started to provide relief to the inflation-hit public as top brands slashed ghee and cooking oil prices, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
Ghee has become cheaper by Rs23 to Rs38 per kg at Utility Stores while the price of cooking oil has gone down by Rs13 to Rs36 per liter.
Citizens say that due to high prices, oil and ghee had become unaffordable in the common markets.
On the other hand citizens have expressed their satisfaction at the reduced prices of ghee at utility stores. They also demanded to ensure the availability of sugar and flour possible.
