Former finance minister and PML-N senior leader Ishaq Dar has vowed to make Pakistan an economic force once again if voted to power, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
In a statement issued on Saturday, the former finance minister said that Panama was just a drama. They wanted to impose one person on the country and they did it. The 24th largest economy was ruined and has been downgraded to 47th in the ranking.
Dar was of the view that it takes time to revive the economy. “We don’t have a magic wand which can fix the economy in no time,” he added.
He said if elected by the people once again, the economic plan of the PML-N would be the same as it was in the past. He said during the past 16 months, the PMLN-led PDM government struggled to save Pakistan from default.
On corruption cases against the Sharifs, the former finance minister said that all cases against Nawaz Sharif were fabricated. He said Maryam Nawaz has already been acquitted in these cases and soon Nawaz Sharif would also be exonerated.
