Mian Akhtar Latif, brother of senior PML-N leader and former federal minister Mian Javed Latif on Saturday passed away in Sheikhupura, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.
Mian Akhtar Latif, the fourth among five brothers, had been waging a relentless battle against kidney disease, necessitating regular dialysis over the past three years.
In recent days, his condition had deteriorated to a critical stage, prompting his admission to a private hospital in Lahore for medical care.
The news of his passing cast a shadow of grief over Sheikhupura, where Mian Akhtar Latif was held in high regard for his dedication to public service.
His funeral prayer will be held at the Government Liaquat High School Sheikhupra tomorrow (Sunday) at 2 pm.
