Caretakers Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi has inaugurated the first commercial nursery of Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) in Lahore to be built at the government level in Punjab, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
On the occasion, Chief Minister said that the citizens can be benefited from such type of projects by purchasing plants, flowers and bouquets in affordable prices.
Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi also visited the nursery, saw the flowers and plants kept in the nursery and inspected the flower shop as well.
He instructed PHA authorities for improving the quality of the bouquet and plants with ensuring free home delivery of flowers and bouquets with establishing more flower shops in Lahore.
“On the pattern of Lahore, flower shops will be established in Multan, Gujranwala, Faisalabad and other cities as well”, directed Mohsin Naqvi.
While giving briefing to CM Punjab the Director General PHA said that currently more than 400 varieties of plants and flowers are available at the nursery.
DG PHA said that local and foreign plants will be provided at the nursery and PHA will also provide landscape designing and planning services.
Secretary Housing, Secretary Information, Commissioner Lahore Division, CCPO, DGPR, DIG Operations, Deputy Commissioner and DG PHA were also present on the occasion.
Punjab CM meets Women Chamber delegation
Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi has said that effective role of women in practical field is indispensable for sustainable development, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
He said this in a meeting with a delegation of Women Chamber of Commerce, headed by Dr Shehla Javed Akram, in Lahore on Saturday.
The CM said that almost half of the population of Pakistan consists of women and without the development of women, the society cannot move forward.
Chief Minister said that women associated with industry and trade are next to men in the strength of the economy.
Mohsen Naqvi said that government is starting a one-window operation to facilitate business in Punjab and multiple NOCs will be available under one roof through one window operation.
He assured the business women that issues related to Women Chamber of Commerce will be addressed on priority basis.
In her briefing, Dr. Shehla Javed Akram informed the CM about the performance of Women Chamber of Commerce and other issues.
The Women Chamber of Commerce delegation was included Sahar Malik, Qaisara Sheikh, Saima Iqbal, Ayesha Khurram, Shazia Tufail, Ayesha Nasir, Falahat Imran, Farah Jahangir, Shazia Sulaiman, Saba Mubarak, Tahira Naseem, Sara Mudassar, Rukhsana Zafar and other women.
On the occasion, provincial minister for Industries and Agriculture SM Tanveer, Secretary Industries and MD Punjab Small Industries Corporation were also present.
