The Kahna police claimed to have nailed a man for looting people while impersonating himself as a police officer in Lahore.
According to 24NewsHD TV channel, the arrested showed himself as a DSP and looted people in the name of making police recruitments.
The police acted on the complaint of one of the victims, Sarfraz.
He told people that he was posted at the chief minister's office, police heard.
Reportedly, a widow sold her house to grease his palm to get her son recruited.
Police said the accused also handed people bogus appointment letters.
The investigators said they are piecing together evidence to bring him to book.
