Popular Pakistani actress and model Iffat Omar has humbly declined the Punjab government’s offer to serve as cultural advisor after a careful thought on it. Taking to her social media handle X, known previously as Twitter, the showbiz star confirmed the same.
In case readers are not aware, the Punjab government appointed acclaimed actress and television host Iffat Omar as the Provincial Minister for Information and Culture, Azma Bukhari's cultural adviser.

According to official sources, the seasoned media personality was responsible for reviving and promoting Punjab’s cultural heritage, a task seen as both crucial and symbolic in preserving the province's rich artistic traditions.
However, lately, through taking to her Instagram handle, Ifat Omar offered gratitude to the Chief Minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz, for choosing her for the position and gracefully returned the offer.
She wrote in the upload: “Thank you so much, Punjab Government. @MaryamNSharif, for considering me capable enough for this responsibility, but after putting some thought, I humbly decline the offer and wish you all the best for the culture ministry.”
