Opposition leader Omar Ayub has moved Supreme Court of Pakistan after Islamabad High Court rejected his appeal in NA-18 Haripur election rigging case, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Omar Ayub requested the Supreme Court to declare the Islamabad High Court's decision, made on April 9, as null and void. He said the High Court did not properly investigate the facts mentioned in his application.
According to Ayub, the High Court rejected his petition even after he had provided all the proofs. He also claimed that the decision of the Election Commission was not based on merit and was therefore illegal.
