Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has constituted a 12-member committee aimed at improving the government’s performance evaluation system, 24NewsHD TV Channel reported on Wednesday.

Federal Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has been appointed as the convener of the newly formed committee, which includes key members such as the Minister for Energy, the Minister for Climate Change, and the Chairman of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), among others.

According to the channel report, PM Shehbaz Sharif has approved the Terms of Reference (TORs) for the committee and directed the Establishment Division to issue the official notification.

The committee will evaluate the implementation of a 360-degree performance review system across all federal institutions and will assess its possible expansion to all ministries and service groups.

It will also determine the need for legal and administrative changes to support this model. Additionally, the panel will be responsible for developing standardised evaluation templates and feedback mechanisms for federal departments.

One of the key tasks will be analysing the framework and outcomes of the existing 360-degree model being used by the FBR. The committee will also recommend digital platforms to ensure a transparent, neutral, and effective evaluation system.

The committee is tasked with preparing a phased implementation plan, including a pilot phase and full-scale rollout, and is expected to present its final report to the Prime Minister within 30 days.
