In view of increasing incidents of theft and burglary, the Punjab government has decided to introduce the most sophisticated security system in Lahore’s government housing societies, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
As per the documents available with the 24News TV channel, over Rs330 million will be spent on enhancing the security of six GORs, Poonch House and Wahdat Colony.
In order to prevent the entry of irrelevant persons, a face identification system will be installed at all entry and exit points of these societies.
Similarly, an automatic number plate recognition system will also be installed.
The documents inform that a control room will also be set up to monitor the security operations.
Likewise, a sophisticated system will be installed for video surveillance and data management.
The documents inform that over Rs20 million will be spent on the installation of CCTV cameras in these societies.
Similarly, over Rs20 million will be spent on the procurement of barriers, cabins and computers.
More than Rs70 million will be spent on setting up control rooms.
