Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi talked to Saudi Arabia Foreign Minister Faisal Bin Farhan Monday and appreciated the Organization of Islamic Interests (OIC) for convening OIC emergency meeting on Afghanistan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Qureshi said that a peaceful Afghanistan was vital for Pakistan and the region and it was important for the world to support the people of Afghanistan. The minister said that Pakistan was continuing to evacuate diplomats, teams, and others from Afghanistan.
Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi says he will visit Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, and Iran and hold talks with their leadership in the context of the Afghan situation. In a statement on Monday, he said we have already held talks with China. The Foreign Minister said being a multi-ethnic country, Pakistan supports the formation of a broad-based and inclusive government in Afghanistan.
Shah Mahmood Qureshi said anti-peace forces are still active in Afghanistan. He said India will have to shun its narrow-minded approach. The minister said that Pakistan wants peace, stability, and development in Afghanistan and is engaging with those who think about the Afghan people.
