Incarcerated Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan has filed a petition in the Supreme Court requesting it to stop the Islamabad High Court from hearing cases against him, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The PTI chairman requested the apex court to transfer his cases either to Lahore or Peshawar High Court from the Islamabad High Court.
Imran Khan also pleaded with the Supreme Court to stop IHC Chief Justice Aamer Farooq to hear his cases till the apex court makes a final decision on his application.
The application was submitted by Advocate Latif Khosa under Article 186-A.
Yesterday, the IHC adjourned the hearing of former prime minister and PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s appeal against his conviction in the Toshakhana reference by a sessions judge until August 24.
During the hearing, IHC Chief Justice, Justice Aamer Farooq remarked that the court had sought the case’s record by issuing notices on the appeal. But the counsel for the Election Commission of Pakistan Amjad Pervaiz told the court that he was yet to receive the attested record of the case.
Hearing this, the IHC CJ adjourned the hearing of the case till August 24.
