The United States on Tuesday warned North Korea against a planned satellite launch, saying the move would violate UN Security Council resolutions, echoing calls from South Korea and Japan.
"We urge the DPRK to refrain from further unlawful activity and call on Pyongyang to engage in serious and sustained diplomacy," a State Department spokesperson said, using the North's official name, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.
