A four-year-old girl died in the crossfire between dacoits and a security guard of a shop that was broken in in Karachi, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.
Reportedly, some armed motorbike riders entered a shop, Mini Mart, near Shah Latif Town Manzil Pump and within minutes looted the shop.
When the dacoits tried to make off, the security guard of the shop opened fire on them. As a result, four-year-old Harmain received a bullet. She was taken to hospital but she succumbed to her wounds.
A dacoit also got injured during the firing. He was captured by the nearby residents who recovered cash and arms from his possession.
The CCTV footage of the dacoity attempt also came to light.
While talking to media outside Jinnah Hospital, Karachi, the brother of poor Harmain said that they were riding on a motorcycle. When he heard gunshots, he stopped. He said he thought that Harmain got scared. But when he saw his sister, she was drenched in blood.
PTI leader Haleem Adil Sheikh and Khurram Zaman expressed their sorrow over the death of the little girl.
