In a joint operation, Kasur and Gujranwala police on Thursday arrested two persons in connection with the murder of an eight-year-old maid at Phoolnagar, near Lahore, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Spokesman for the Punjab Police told the media that Muhammad Ali and Ahmed Shakeel were taken into custody from Gujranwala.
The spokesman further said that the police had also freed one little girl and a boy from their captivity.
It is reminded here that the district police officer (DPO) Kasur had constituted teams to launch search operation for the suspects following Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar and Punjab Inspector General of Police (IGP) took notice of the girl’s murder yesterday (Wednesday).
Punjab Police spokesman said that police raided people’s homes in Kasur and Gujranwala, and ultimately got to the culprits. “However, search for the third suspect named Usman is still underway,” he elaborated.
Quoting Punjab IGP, the spokesman said that pedophiles deserved no mercy. “Both the children recovered from Gujranwala will be reunited with their families with the help of Child Protection Bureau,” he added.
