Criticizing the observation of the Supreme Court in the cipher case, PML-N leader and former information minister has said that one who violated the constitution is being called “innocent”, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Addressing a presser in Lahore on Saturday, the former federal information minister said that a three-time prime minister was called “godfather” and was put behind the bars while another who waved a paper in public meeting and claimed that America hatched a conspiracy against his government, he is declared “innocent”.
“The one who violated the constitution, he is being called innocent,” Aurangzeb said adding that the former premier Imran Khan told his buddies in a closed room ‘we have to play with the cipher and do politics on it’.
The Supreme Court on Friday approved the post-arrest bail of former prime minister Imran Khan and ex-foreign minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi in the cipher case.
In the judgement, Justice Athar Minallah penned an additional note in which he said that Imran and Qureshi were alleged to be involved in an offence which did not fall within the category of crimes threatening society.
The judge added that Imran and Qureshi’s incarceration would not “serve any useful purpose” and their release on bail would “ensure genuine elections and thus enable the people to exercise the right to express their will effectively and meaningfully”. He further said that there were no “exceptional circumstances” to decline the concession of bail.
During the hearing the judge remarked that former prime minister Imran Khan’s crime is not proven, he is innocent.
Justice Minallah also noted that the way the cipher trial was being conducted showed that the prosecution was violating the rules. “A decoded message is not the cipher,” he emphasised, adding that a cipher meant a coded document.
Aurangzeb said that country’s foreign policy was put at risk by waving a paper (by Imran Khan) in the air.
She said that the Supreme Court said that no constitution was violated and declared him innocent.
“When someone plays with the country, destroys economy, sells Toshakhana gifts, receives foreign funding, and stages May 9 violence, he is declared innocent’ Aurangzeb said sardonically adding that he should rather be awarded the certificate of Sicilian mafia and political terrorist.
She said that Imran Khan is a ‘Ladla’ whenever he goes to the Supreme Court, he is greeted by the words “Good to see you”.
The PML-N leader said that in order to bring the ‘blue eyed’ (Imran Khan) to power, the general election results were tampered with after putting down the RTS system.
