Shehbaz Sharif calls party’s consultative meeting today

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that the austerity plan that began with the members of federal cabinet voluntarily surrendering their pays, perks and privileges will save the national exchequer an amount of Rs200 billion annually, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

In a couple of tweets posted on Thursday, Shehbaz Sharif commended his coalition partners, saying “I am grateful to all coalition partners for their support. Will personally supervise the implementation of the austerity plan.”

The prime minister further said “Amid economic difficulties, the expression of solidarity and sharing the burden is the governing spirit of austerity measures of our government.”

He further said “It is the leadership by personal example. It is through collective efforts that the country can be rid of the present challenging phase.”

Shehbaz Sharif calls party’s consultative meeting today 

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has called a consultative meeting of the party for the consultation on writing a letter to the President and other matters, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

In today’s meeting, there will also be a discussion on the hearing of the Supreme Court's own notice, while current political situation will also be reviewed in the meeting.
