Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday chaired a PML-N consultative meeting in Islamabad which deliberated the situation arising out of the Supreme Court’s suo motu notice regarding delay in announcement of date for elections in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Federal Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar and Ata Tarar briefed the participants of the meeting which was also attended by Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, sources said.
The meeting expressed reservations over the apex court’s larger bench which was hearing the suo motu notice.
The prime minister also took the participants into confidence over the contents of a letter being sent to President Arif Alvi over the election date given by him.
