PML-N leader and former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has decided to get benefit from the new NAB law and filed an acquittal plea in Islamabad’s accountability court hearing LNG case, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Khaqan Abbasi’s lawyer informed the Islamabad High Court on Monday that the accountability court will take up the acquittal plea on Tuesday.
IHC’s Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kiyani remarked that now Khaqan Abbasi plea in the high court has become ineffective.
Justice Kiyani and Justice Sardar Ijaz Ishaq Khan disposed of the plea.
Khaqan Abbasi had filed an appeal in the IHC seeking amendment in the indictment, which has now become ineffective.
