Mohsin Naqvi’s drive to ensure healthcare service delivery is at the top of the list. He ensured the facility of urgent angiography for heart patients and insulin for diabetic patients in hospitals of the provincial capital Lahore.
Jinnah Hospital's new emergency and trauma centre, and OPD of Lahore General Hospital and Mayo Hospital, redesign of emergency and children’s blocks, the constitution of formation of the new board of governors of Pakistan Kidney and Liver Transplant Institute, the inauguration of Girls Hostel Block in Fatima Jinnah Medical University, laying foundation for the surgical tower project of Riaz-Mansoor Trust Hospital, approval of the recruitment of doctors and other staff on ad hoc bases and work on the state-of-the-art Autism Centre have been on his feats’ list.
Mohsin Naqvi made operational 260-bed Sumanabad Hospital and 110-bed Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan Hospital while he revamped the Allied Hospital in Faisalabad. He released funds for the remote area hospitals including Victoria Hospital Bahawalpur and established Pakistan's largest bone marrow and thalassemia center. Most of the development projects in Faisalabad have been completed while work on some projects is in the final stages. The Rs6.5 billion Faisalabad Bypass Ring Road has been completed.
In Lahore, he broke all the records and his feats including Ring Road Southern Loop 3 and 2. He also brought about a change in police culture and set up model police stations, improvised a driving license system while his drive to put an end to underage driving bore fruit. He upgraded the police stations in a few months and his unscheduled visits to monitor police work too brought in betterment.
Mohsin Naqvi did a great job in southern Punjab and his feats included providing Cholistanis with financial rights and records of progress in agriculture, livestock, and health sector. For the former of the agriculture province, the caretaker chief minister brought about revolutionary changes. He launched a de-silting drive across Punjab so that the agricultural province could get clean water on time. The work was stalled for years. A record of cotton cultivation on 2.13 million acres of the Bahawalpur division is another milestone Mohsin Naqvi has achieved.
