The government has announced to provide Rs2.5 million per school to improve the conditions of government schools across the province, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.
The said funds can be spent with the approval of the School Management Council.
Science lab upgradation, painting and varnishing and construction of new rooms can be done.
PREPA rules have also been given concessions for spending the funds
Earlier, the school council was allowed to spend only Rs200,000 and the school heads also had to pay heavy taxes to spend the said funds.
The amount of Rs2.5 million will be given separately from the non-salary budget.
However, schools will continue to receive NSB routine after every three months.
The fund of Rs2.5 million will be given to schools only once.
