Around 150 acres, out of a total of 1052 acres of land, were completely burnt after a fire ripped through the forests of Head Baloki near Sarai Mughal, while, on the other hand, fire also erupted in a forest near the Murree Expressway, prompting the Forest Department and Rescue 1122 personnel to rush to the spot to extinguish the blaze, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
It took firefighters from Kasur, Chunian, Pattoki and Phoolnagar three and a half hours to put out the blaze at Sarai Mughal.
Besides fire vehicles, ambulances and rescue special vehicles also participated in the operation.
The fire was still burning in Murree as the Forest Department and Rescue 1122 teams battled the flames till last reports came in.
The firefighters expressed the hope that soon they would be able to put out the blaze.
