Punjab cabinet strongly rejected proposal to rename Gaddafi Stadium, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on
Punjab Bank has sent a summary to rename Gaddafi Stadium through the Finance Department which was disliked by Punjab Chief Minister.
Bank of Punjab’s proposal was to rename it Cricket Arena while another proposal was to rename it Bank of Punjab Cricketer Stadium and cabinet rejected both the proposals.
Bank of Punjab had also offered a bid money to rename Gaddafi Stadium and the Punjab cabinet unanimously rejected.
Meanwhile, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided that enclosures at National Stadium Karachi to be named after Shahid Afridi and Younis Khan.
Newly constructed Patron Enclosure to be named after Zaheer Abbas and Majid Khan while old enclosure to be named after Premium Enclosure.
