Low level flood was recorded in Terbala dam, Kalabagh and at Chashma barrage on Saturday, reported 24News HD TV channel.
According to Relief Commissioner Punjab Nabeel Javed, the flow of water in all the rivers of Punjab is normal. He informed that River Chenab has low level flood at Head Marala while the inflow of water at Head Marala is 111036 and the outflow is 116036.
Nabeel Javed said the administration of all the river-related districts of Punjab has been put on high alert. He said preparations of all departments are complete to deal with the emergency situation. He informed all DCs are monitoring potential flood-prone areas themselves. He said 24 hours monitoring process is also going on from the control room of PDMA.
He said Rural Reporting Centres including District Emergency Operation Centres are also fully functional and revenue officials are staying in the field and is continuing to monitor the situation. He further informed that all the districts of Punjab have been provided with equipment used in flood situation.
Relief Commissioner Punjab said that there is no shortage of resources in any district or institution. He said administrations across the province have established relief camps in flood-prone areas and timely rescue operation should be started in emergency situation.
Relief Commissioner informed that all deputy commissioners and officers of related institutions were present in the field, giving them warning negligence was not tolerated. He protection of life and property of people is the responsibility of all institutions.
