Former prime minister and PTI founder Imran Khan on Monday admitted that he had given a call for protest demonstrations outside important government and military installations, including the GHQ, on May 9, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
In an informal chat with reporters at Adiala Jail, Rawalpindi, he, however, made it clear that the call was for a peaceful protest. “It is another thing that these demonstrations were portrayed as acts of rebellion.”
Imran, Bushra Bibi’s physical remand in Toshakhana case extended
Also on Monday, a court in Rawalpindi extended the physical remand of Imran and his wife Bushra Bibi in the Toshakhana reference by seven days.
Before the court’s decision, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) submitted to the court its investigation report in the case.
