Emirates Airline suspends flight operation in Pakistan

Emirates Airline on Tuesday announced suspending its flight operation from Pakistan.

The spokesperson for the UAE-based airline said that no flight would operate from June 24. The airline will release its schedule later on. However, the cargo service will continue between UAE and Pakistan, said the spokesman.

Emirates Airline said that schedule of flights’ resumption from Pakistan would be announced on July 3. The spokesperson said that the airline would be in touch with the concerned authority in Pakistan regarding its flight operation.

On June 9, Emirates resumed its flight operations from Pakistan, operating flights from Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad to Dubai. The resumption came after over two months of travel restrictions imposed globally due to the Covid-19 outbreak.

The UAE airline is offering flights from Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad for travellers from Pakistan who wish to connect onwards to other Emirates destinations. Travellers flying between Asia Pacific, Europe and the Americas, can connect safely and efficiently through Dubai.
