Senator Usman Kakar’s dead body was shifted from Quetta to his native town of Muslim Bagh in district Qilla Saifullah, Balochistan where funeral prayers will be offered at 5 pm and his body will be laid to rest in his town’s graveyard Wednesday evening, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Usman Kakar was Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party PkMAP’s central secretary and provincial president.
Balochistan trade union of Muslim Bagh observed a complete shutterdown strike on Wednesday. Bar associations have also announced not to appear in courts.
According to the initial post-mortem report of Usman Kakar, brain hemorrhage was said to be the cause of death.
The post-mortem report revealed there were no signs of torture or bruises on the body.
Sources said the dead body of Usman Kakar was brought to the Aga Khan Hospital where the body went through craniotomy surgery before the post-mortem which caused a delay in post-marten. Hospital officials said that a complete report comprising chemical and pathological checkup of the dead body will be issued in a few days.
The first funeral prayers of deceased were offered in Karachi attended by different political and religious leaders and workers. The funeral prayers were offered at Bagh-e-Jinnah Ground, opposite to the Mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam.
