Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf's (PTI) leader and former parliamentarian Ghulam Sarwar Khan announced leaving his party due to May 9 incidents.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, seasoned politician Ghulam Sarwar Khan along with his family members released a video message recorded at his home in Rawalpindi and condemned vandalism on May 9.
Addressing the nation in his video message, the PTI leader said he was deeply saddened by the May 9 tragedy. He strongly condemned those who have spoken against the institutions and attacked the Pak Army's General Head Quarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi.
Ghulam Sarwar Khan said he always opposed the politics of confrontation of his party in the past because Pak Army is an important institution of the country.
He said his family has served the nation for the last 50 years but they were hurt by the attack on the Pak Air Force's Mianwali Base, GHQ, and Corp Commander House in Lahore and Peshawar as these attacks were not only the attacks but attacks on the heart of Pakistan.
He announced separating his political ways from the PTI and demanded the authorities give punishment for responsible persons of the May 9 tragedy.
