If you are someone who is rather keen on following Pakistani trends especially those associated with the media industry, you must be well aware of the misogynistic narratives which mostly get featured in every other drama serial that has been popping up on TV screens across Pakistan since the very beginning we think?

However, the sad reality is that only these kinds of questionable drama plots which feature angry young men using their privileges to forcefully make a woman adhere to their wishes or maybe how Pakistani in-laws have a habit of making their son’s wife’s life absolute hell which ultimately leads to the main female lead always sobbing are the only issues that garner the most ratings and views, therefore how is this the media industry’s fault to be very frank?

The Pakistani entertainment sector is actually forced to only invest time and money in these kinds of scripts because in the end they want to come up with initiatives that would resonate with the Pakistani audience and sadly the public only gets the desired adrenaline rush through these kinds of disturbing plots.

Let us now provide you with Nadia Afgan’s stance regarding Pakistani drama serials: “I hate these misogynistic types of dramas. For instance, a drama featuring Danish Taimoor had been garnering massive awe previously.”

The veteran Pakistani star further stated: “Aur yeh jo hota hai jis mein male figures ko dikhate hain ke marna peetna aur yeh wali Mohabbat, yeh wali mohabbat bakwas hoti hai. Logon ke aur bachon ke zehan mein dalna ke kisi ke peeche leechar hojana aur banduke lekar pohanch jana is not right.”

After Nadia Afgan put forward the very intelligent statements mentioned above, the female host expressed strong approval and declared: “Taking no for an answer is important.”

To this, Nadia said: “Junooni hone ki kya zaroorat hai?”

Even though the Pakistani drama industry has successfully carved a distinctive reputation through its brilliant content across the globe, there is still a dire need for our entertainment media to come up with concepts that would inspire others or maybe prove to educate the public regarding matters which deserve recognition except for highlighting the much demeaning Pakistani rituals such as a sobbing woman or husbands taking solace of domestic violence in order to emphasize the fact that they are men needs to come to an end.

How about 24NewsHD gives you some suggestions of Pakistani dramas that have successfully managed to feature the kind of inspirational content that deserves all the recognition in the world: Sinf-e-Aahan, Ishq-E-Laa, Udaari, Dastaan, Durr-e-Shehwar, and Pyaar Ke Sadqay.
