The district administration in Rawalpindi has issued detention orders for four PTI leaders, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to a notification issued by Rawalpindi Deputy Commissioner Waqar Cheema on Saturday, the 15-day detention orders were issued under 3MPO.
The targeted PTI leaders included Shehryar Riaz, Colonel (retd) Ajmal Sabir Raja, Chaudhry Amir Afzal and Taimoor Masood Akbar. They will be arrested and detained at Adiala Jail.
The Police Department has sought the detention of these four PTI leaders which was endorsed by District Intelligence Committee in its June 20 meeting.
Case lodged against PTI MPA
A case has been lodged against PTI MPA Chaudhry Nazeer and others for staging a rally in favour of party founder Imran Khan.
The case was lodged on behalf of Sub-Inspector Imtiaz Hussain of Saddar police station un Sections 3 and 4 of Punjab Sound System Regulation Act 2015.
The case also included sections relating to staging illegal rally, interference in official work, blocking road and tearing apart government official’s uniform.
