In a surprising political development, Rauf Hasan, Information Secretary of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has revealed that Muhammad Zubair, the former governor of Sindh and senior leader of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), is eager to join PTI.
During a television program hosted by senior anchor Naseem Zahra at 24NewsHD TV channel, Hasan confirmed the speculation regarding Zubair's potential shift in allegiance.
"Yes, he is very eager to join PTI," Hasan stated, adding that Zubair has already met with former President Dr. Arif Alvi in Islamabad.
"Dr. Arif Alvi informed me that Muhammad Zubair has also met with other PTI members. We will soon present the matter to PTI founder Imran Khan, who will decide whether to include Muhammad Zubair in PTI," Hasan elaborated.
