The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has submitted its detailed reply regarding the reserved seats to the Supreme Court (SC), 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Saturday.

According to the Sunni Unity Council’s constitution, a non-Muslim cannot become its member, the ECP argued, adding that the last date for submission of the candidates’ list is January 24 and the SIC did not submit its list. The Peshawar High Court upheld the decision of the commission on the appeal of the SIC, the commission said.
Chief Justice Qazi Faiz-led full court will take up the matter on June 24.
