An interesting situation developed in the Sindh Assembly on Saturday when Speaker Agha Siraj Durrani told the deputy speaker that Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan had come to the House, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Actually, it was former MPA, belonging to a minority community, Mohan Lal Kohistani, whom Durrani had called ‘Shah Rukh’ when he entered the assembly building.
However, the deputy speaker was in a state of bewilderment and failed to make sense of what the speaker meant by that.
Explaining his statement, Durrani said it was a tradition that whenever an ex-MPA came to the assembly, the speaker welcomed him.
“Perhaps you are not familiar with the Shah Rukh I am talking about,” Durrani said, while addressing the deputy speaker, adding, “You must have seen Shah Rukh act in Bollywood movies. But you have not seen Kohistani act. If you see him act, you will be astonished.”
On hearing this, the entire House burst into laughter.
