Pakistan Muslim League (PML) President and former Prime Minister Chaudhry Shujat Hussain, Speaker Punjab Assembly Chaudhry Parvez Elahi and Federal Minister for Water Resources Moonis Elahi in their messages on Pakistan Day while paying tributes to Founder of Pakistan Quaid-i-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah and Musavvir-e-Pakistan Allama Iqbal have said that there is need for reviving the spirit again today with which spirit Pakistan Resolution was adopted on March 23, 1940.
“Pakistan Day is a very important day for the nation, dangers of extremism and poverty are confronting the humanity and for overcoming these, national unity over and above personal, political and party interests will have to be demonstrated.”
PML leaders said that the sacrifices offered by the armed forces and defence institutions for national solidarity can never be forgotten.
Pledging their determination on Pakistan Day, they said that today is the day for getting rid of oppression and suppression of the Hindu majority and breaking the shackles of slavery, we express solidarity with Kashmiri brethren and sisters who are living in inhuman lockdown for a longer period, every child of Pakistan is standing shoulder to shoulder with the Kashmiri brethren in their struggle for freedom.
