Lahore Education Authority did not arrange a single function to mark the Pakistan Day in public schools located in district Lahore on Wednesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The lack of interest shown by the district education authority of Lahore practically left the students to know about the historic resolution that demanded a separate homeland for the Muslims of British India passed in the annual session of the All India Muslim League held in Lahore on 22–24 March 1940.
A number of educationists told 24 News that the functions and educational activities on national days educate students and help them to understand the history of their homeland.
The education experts regret the district education authority's decision for not holding a single event on such an important day.
However, the education authority of Lahore said that the authority has arranged an event for the girls guides and there will be a series of events in the next week related to the Pakistan Day.
