Indian batter Suryakumar Yadav's horrible run in the three-match ODI series against Australia continued as he got for a first-ball duck in the decider in Chennai. This was Surya's third straight golden duck in the series as he failed to put the bat on the ball in all three games and became the first batter to have such an unwanted record in his name in a series (minimum of three games).
Surya’s poor form sparked hilarious reactions on the social media with netizens renaming him as Shoony Kumar Yadav. Shoony in Hindi language means zero.

Surya's form in ODIs has been poor and questions will be raised over his place in the side after he failed to open his account in the entire series.

Coming in to bat at No. 7 after batting at No. 4 in the first two games, facing the left-arm spinner Ashton Agar, Surya tried to defend the first ball of his innings but it stayed low and sneaked under his bat to hit his off-stump as the bowler was cock-a-hoop.
Agar was soon surrounded by his teammates as they knew how big a wicket that was, after having dismissed Virat Kohli on the previous delivery.
Kohli with a well-compiled half-century helped India stay on the course in the chase of 270 runs but once he and KL Rahul got out, none of the batters apart from Hardik Pandya showed any resistance. Hardik scored a run-a-ball 40 but once he mistimed an Adam Zampa delivery, the leggie soon dismissed Ravindra Jadeja and it was too much for the lower-order to chase down.
Mohammed Shami did try his best with a four and a six off Marcus Stoinis but the required rate was already over 12. Kuldeep Yadav, who took three wickets with the ball, did try his best but in the end, the visitors prevailed by 21 runs and won the series 2-1.
