The Baloch Yakjehti Committee dragged people into trouble by closing the main road, a spokesperson for the Balochistan government.
The roadblock added to people traveling from Karachi and other cities, the official said, adding that police acted according to the law and got the road open.
However, the demonstrators clashed with police, injuring 10 people, the spokesperson said. The protesters pelted police with stones, he said, adding that a lady constable was among the injured.
The spokesperson said that the bodies that the Baloch Yakjehti Committee placed on the road to protest are yet to be identified and the bodies were taken to hospital and medico-legal proceedings are underway.
The provincial government will never let anyone take the law into the hands, he said, adding that the state writ will be maintained at all costs.
